Connect 2 Campbelltown - Cool Refuge update, new opportunities for Strategic Plan 2028 & Regulatory Policies, and Coffee Chat

In this newsletter, we have some great opportunities for you to participate in as well as two new consultations to provide feedback on.

PROJECT UPDATES

Cool Spaces for Summer Trial

Last year, with the assistance of grant funding from the Federal and State Governments, we undertook a project to identify whether there was demand for cool places where people could go and spend time during the day on hot days, and how these facilities might be provided so that they are effective and well used by the Community.

We are pleased to advise that this project has now moved into a trial phase and you are invited to participate.

Check out the details and register for our Cool Spaces for Summer Trial by visiting Council's website.

The trial is only between 26 February and 30 March 2024, so don't delay!

Playford Road Reserve Construction

You may recall a major project we undertook during 2021 and 2022, to identify Community preferences in relation to upgrading Playford Road Reserves.

Whilst the Newton Community Garden has been established and is quickly becoming productive, work has been underway behind the scenes to gather the budget and finalise design work for the Playford Road Reserve.

We are excited to advise that the Playford Road Reserve construction is underway. Please stay clear of the area for your safety.

We will share information as construction progresses for this new reserve space.

We would appreciate you taking time to review these documents and provide suggested changes.
