Connect 2 Campbelltown Newsletter - Annual Business Plan Opportunities & Outcome of Water Tank Mural Voting

This month we are consulting on the Annual Business Plan.

This is your chance to check out what is planned for next year's budget and learn more about the proposed projects and services. You can then provide feedback on individual proposals, as well as the Council's financial allocation for services and the proposed rate increase.

Come along to one of our sessions on 24 May to talk with Staff and provide feedback, or settle down with a cuppa at a time that suits you and fill out the survey through Connect 2 Campbelltown to go in the draw to win one of two $100 vouchers for a local supermarket.

Consultation closes 4pm, Friday 26 May 2023.

Water Tank Mural Lochiel Park

Thank you everyone who took the time to vote on mural designs for the water tank at Lochiel Park. Over 300 people took the time to look at the beautiful designs proposed by local artists Tali De Lacy, Leon Ferrante, Ann Marie Morrissey, Beiha-Malen Yanez and Grant Fleming.

Council thanks each of the artists for their participation on the working party and for contributing a range of designs for the Community to vote for in our recent engagement opportunity.

The top three designs were sent to SA Water for final approval and decision and I am pleased to advised that 'Wetlands' by local artist Graham Fleming has been selected. Mr Fleming will now lead a team of artists to install the mural over the next few months so keep an eye out for the artwork coming together on the tank soon.

Coffee Chat

Our next Coffee Chat is at Cafe Settebello on Wednesday 24 May, 10.30am - 11.30am.

Come along and chat to the Mayor and Staff about your ideas, suggestions or concerns over a cuppa. There will also be an opportunity to provide your thoughts on the Draft 2023/2024 Annual Business Plan.

Campbelltown Art Show & Sale

The Art Show is currently on and has a great variety of works for you to view and enjoy. Check out paintings, pottery, porcelain, photography and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' Art from talented local artists and make sure you grab a raffle ticket or two while you're there!
