The City of Campbelltown is undertaking an Elector Representation Review to determine whether the community would benefit from an alteration to the Council’s composition or ward structure.
Under the Local Government Act 1999 all Councils are required to undertake a Representation Review at least every eight years to ensure its electors are adequately and fairly represented.
Campbelltown City Council last undertook a Representation Review in 2016.
Following consideration of various options, Council has agreed in-principle to a proposed composition and structure for consultation with the local community. Further information is provided in the Representation Report.
Feedback is now sought from all community members.
You do not need to be enrolled to vote to submit comments.
It is proposed that:
The principal member of Council continue to be a Mayor elected by the community.
The future elected body of Council continue to comprise a Mayor and ten (10) Ward councillors.
The Council area be divided into four (4) wards instead of the present five (5), as shown below.
