Background

A minor update has been made to acknowledge a change in State Government Department naming in the Definitions Section.
Debt Collection Policy
The Policy has undergone a number a minor amendments designed to improve existing practices. In particular, there has been a modification to issuing of invoices to stallholders ahead of an event, and amending debt management terms to enable overdue notices to be ‘sent’ rather than posted (enabling electronic distribution where appropriate).
Depreciation Policy
The objective of this Policy is to set out the methodology used by Council in determining and calculating depreciation for the purposes of meeting its financial reporting requirements. The Policy review includes some proposed wording improvements as well as updated Useful Lives by Asset Class.
Memorials on Council Land Policy
This Policy has been amended to remove reference to providing memorial applicants with a copy of guidelines, as guidelines have not been developed at this point.
Council has made no changes to the following policies:
- Appointments on Committees, CAP and External Bodies
- Children and Vulnerable Persons Safety
- Code of Practice for Access to Meetings and Documents
- Community Cemeteries
- Internal Control
- Register of Interests.
