Industrial Precincts

We are seeking your views on concept development plans we have prepared for the Magill and Newton Industrial & Innovation Precincts.

Background

On 17 December 2019, Council adopted the Campbelltown Industrial & Innovation Precincts Landscape Master Plan for the Newton Urban Employment Zone and the Magill Light Industry Zone.

In 2024/2025, Council engaged a consultant to enhance the work undertaken for the original Master Plan and prepare a staged implementation of the Industrial Precinct Master Plan, covering both Newton and Magill precincts.

The concept development plans address improvements for each precinct in relation to sense of place, functionality, quality, durability, safety, amenity, and maintenance.

What’s included in the Concept Development Plan?

A staging plan with 3 distinct stages has been developed for each precinct to ensure that implementation has minimal impact to road users, business owners and residents.

How you can get involved

We invite you to read the concept development plan, and provide your feedback on the proposals including changed traffic arrangements in the suburb of Magill (changing streets to one-way traffic only as follows):

• Complete the online survey that is relevant to you below:

• Print and complete the precinct survey for your suburb of interest and return it to Council:
